Just a quick update to let everyone know that I can now breath again. Julie had a scare and we all have spent that past few weeks holding our breath....which we found out causes horrible headaches.During one of her morning routine self-exams (she does that daily now) she noticed some swelling and some redness near her incision area. So she called the doctor and made an appointment....the doc didn't think things looked very good...so he ordered an MRI. They are being very, very cautious with her....so that was not unexpected...but it made us all think that perhaps her cancer had returned....and that was very nerve racking.
The technicians saw "something" so they sent the results down to her doctor in Seattle. After several agonizing days, the word came back....."this is not anything we wouldn't expect to see taking into consideration all she has been through this past year". That was good news for sure!!! It took too long to get the results....but we relish in the good news.
So now we can all go on with our lives....and take this moment to remind all of you to do your self-breast exams and get your mammograms. Remember October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and life you save may be your own.
