“Independence Day” has a new meaning this year. Julie is FREE from CANCER and those of us that love her are FREE from WORRY. As cancer survivors, the thought that the cancer may come back never goes away. We pray daily that it never returns and for now we are celebrating our own version of “Independence Day”!!
We know how lucky we have been as a family over the past few years. We have been given far more time together. We have had lots of good times and a few not-so-good times. I have no doubt that our positive attitudes have helped and we will continue to find the positive in everything that happens. It's the hard times that bring a family together so we will continue to embrace this time.
I want to share a poem with you today…..I do not know the author and I hope that I am not infringing on any copy write laws, but this just tells it like it is so I thank the author for his/her words of wisdom.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, Grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.
Wishing you a happy, eventful, fun and safe 4th of July ~ remember today is the first day of the rest of your life. Jan
