0 Writer's Block....Now That's a Switch

Hi everyone.....I am suffering from an unusual case of writer's block....and for someone who normally has so much to say....that is extremely unusual. Perhaps it is because I have been on information overload lately or because we have been so busy with outdoor chores and summer picnics and parties. Whatever the reason is for my writer's block, I do feel guilty for not posting more on the blog lately. There has been lots in the news this week about cancer from tanning beds and I don't want to besiege you with more information about that. You can read the MSN article here.....and I have to say....this is true and you need to heed their warnings. I have (had) been a sun worshipper in my younger years and when tanning beds first came out I was thrilled. Then the big "C" became a regular part of my life and my vocabulary. A few years ago my doctor told me I had a "suspicious" looking mole on my forehead....and low and behold it turned out to be cancerous. Thank God it was just in a very early stage and a quick office procedure removed it and left me with only a mild scar that I can hide with bangs. I was told to NEVER, EVER go in a tanning bed again. So in my quest to educate on this blog, I am passing that advice on to everyone.

One of my personal goals is to never stop learning....and I learned something very important today. As I was getting my outfit ready for a wedding reception we are attending this evening, I asked my hubby if he needed anything ironed. His response - you are going to love this - "yes, but I know you are busy, so I will iron it". WHAT - after over 14 years together he is just now telling me he can iron!!! Ladies......a good lesson learned here....I never asked him in all these years if he knew how to iron....only if he needed something ironed. And, being the wonderful husband he is, he always tried to please by saying "yes".

Now I am wondering if he really knows how to cook??????
