She's Leaving on a Jet Plane......

Once again...Julie is on the move. She is flying up to Anchorage today for training and, of course, some much needed big-city "retail therapy".

She has been asked to be the Survivor Chair for the ACS Relay for Life in Juneau. What an honor and privilege this is for her. This will give her an opportunity to advocate for not only cancer awareness of all kinds, but educate everyone about Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She is excited to attend the training and meet others who are involved with Relay for Life.

She will do this volunteer job while continuing to work her full-time job and managing her household. Like the old adage says "this girl lets no grass grow under her feet" - that is for certain!! And I know she will do an awesome job.

So look for more posts about her new assignment, and her busy life and our continued support of Relay for Life.

And don't let the grass grow under your feet either...find a cause you believe in and volunteer today. Anytime you feel yourself feeling depressed or in an unhappy state, immediately get up and get out to help the world in anyway you can. As you make helping others a part of your everyday life, any feelings of depression and unhappiness will appear less and less...and will be replaced by feelings of gratitude and joy. Volunteering not only brings joy to others - it can help you feel better about yourself. Take my word for it...it works every time!!

I am off to volunteer now...so wishing you an awesome autumn weekend wherever you are.
