This is the new governor of Alaska, Sean Parnell, with my beautiful daughter Julie!!!The governor was in Juneau for the First Annual Picnic so Julie was able to meet him. She works for the state of Alaska and the staff in her office treated her amazingly well while she was going through her cancer treatment for Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), so this was a good opportunity for her to say thanks in person to the new ‘boss’ of Alaska.
I know everyone has high hopes for the new governor so it will be enjoyable for me to watch what he does for the citizens of the great state of Alaska. I am not a political person, but it is fun when you ‘almost know’ the person. Perhaps I will have the opportunity to meet him too when we visit Juneau next time.
What is more amazing to me though is how wonderful Julie looks!! Like I told her, if I didn’t know first hand the hell that she went through this past year battling Inflammatory Breast Cancer, I would never believe she had ever had cancer. She has fought back and won – you can tell just by looking at that smiling, happy face.
For all of you fighting the battle right now and for all of you survivors out there – this is what Kickin’ Cancer’s Ass looks like!!!! And this is what wonderful cancer treatments and new modern medicines can do and what all of your thoughts and prayers have done…..so
